The Maybach Exelero is a high-performance unique sports car. It's Maybach's most expensive car with the price of about $8 million.
Auto reviewers agree that the redesigned 2013 Lexus GS Hybrid is a significant improvement compared with the outgoing 2011 model. The old GS Hybrid wasn't a bad car, but as the previous generation neared the end of its life cycle, newer competitors offered better fuel economy and more style, often at a lower price.
The design of the car is the result of the competition among the students at the Pforzheim Polytechnic Department of Transport Design which has designed the show vehicles for Fulda during the past. The designing of the 24 year old Fredrik Burchhard was selected and the entire work was coordinated with Mayback design centre in Sindelfingen. Basing on the Maybach 57 limousine the project required a certain amount of re-engineering: the A-pillar and the doors were to be shifted backwards and the steering column, the pedals and the gearshift had to be relocated altogether.

Underneath the body which was inspired by the company's streamlined sports car from the Thirties.The Exelero is powered by a V12 turbo engine that develops an impressive 700 HP at 5,000 rpm and 753 lm.ft of maximum torque at 2,500 rpm. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and hits a top speed of 218 mph. If that isn’t impressive enough, there is only one Exelero in the world.

The Maybach high-performance show car “Exelero” was unveiled to the world for the first time this afternoon in the Tempodrom in Berlin. The 700-hp two-seater with a V-12 biturbo engine is a unique custom model produced for Fulda Reifenwerke, which is using the Maybach Exelero as a reference vehicle for a newly developed generation of wide tyres.
While Birdman currently owns a Maybach Landaulet valued at around $1.5 million, as well as a Bugatti Veyron that cost $2 million, according to a recent article in Forbes, many of his cars still have money owing on them.
