The 2014 Nissan Murano is a midsize crossover SUV available in a traditional configuration with seating for 5 people or as a 2-door, 4-passenger convertible model called the CrossCabriolet. It competes against the Ford Edge, GMC Terrain, Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, Jeep Cherokee, Subaru Outback, and Volkswagen Tiguan.

The Murano's cabin is comfortable, especially in the front row, where the seats are adjustable for a wide range of body types and sizes, though head room is reduced a bit by the sunroof. Second-row seating is also short on head room, and the rear bench's height can seem too low for taller adults.
Rear privacy glass, 20" aluminum-alloy wheels, bi-functional xenon headlights, and sleek, functional roof rails were all added to enhance Murano's distinctive style and breakthrough design.

Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control and a six-speaker stereo. Bluetooth, LED taillights, a backup camera, navigation, satellite radio and a rear-seat entertainment system are optional.

A 3.5-L V6 engine delivers 260 horsepower, 240 lb-ft of torque, and fuel economy of 24 mpg on the highway. That means that under the right highway conditions you can be on the road for more than 500 miles before filling up.
This engine is mated to a CVT (in place of a conventional automatic transmission), with a choice of standard front-wheel drive or an available all-wheel-drive system.

All versions of the 2014 Murano except for the S trim level come with a standard reversing camera, while rain-sensing wipers are standard for the SL, LE and CrossCabriolet. A blind-spot detection system, lane-departure warning system, and a moving-object detection system are optional for the Murano SL and standard for the LE and CrossCabriolet.
