The CB500F is powered by the newest version of Honda’s proven twin-cylinder engine. Featuring double overhead cams and liquid cooling, it extracts superior performance from its 471cc’s through every part of its wide powerband.

Chassis performance is very acceptable, too. The CB500F's wide bars help give light handling, yet stability at speed is excellent despite the upright, wind-blown riding position. The fully-faired R-model's narrower bars mean it requires slightly more steering effort but it's still agile and easy to ride. The suspension, shared by both, is basic but firm enough to give a well controlled ride.

A sophisticated chassis with Honda Pro-Link rear suspension, nine-stage preload and 4.1" travel give you a comfortable ride over small bumps, while capably absorbing bigger bumps to increase riding comfort and handling.

The CB500F features a brand-new engine and chassis. Like the machines that made Honda famous in the U.S. its two-cylinder parallel-twin layout provides a wide powerband and plenty of torque, while a counterbalance keeps things running smooth. In addition, the CB500F’s neutral, classic seating position makes it a perfect fit for someone who wants a bike that can do it all, and do it all well.

2013 Honda CB500F ABS comes loaded with aliquid cooled, 500cc parallel-twin, 4 stroke, DOHC engine and four valves per cylinder with a displacement of 500cc.This advanced powertrain belts out a maximum power of 46.9 Bhp and pumps out a top torque of 40.67 Nm. The engine also offers tremendous power and torque which in turn offers zipper acceleration and pick up.

Honda starts with a DOHC parallel twin with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) for crisp throttle response in all weather conditions. To provide smoothness, Honda also uses a counterbalancer on the 500cc twin. Regarding suspension, the CB500F uses a larger, 41mm fork that provides for a comfortable 4.3 inches travel.
