The Thruxton is a model of motorcycle built by the British company Triumph , part of the Modern Classic range.Like the previous model year, the 2014 Thruxton is built on the Bonneville platform and features a classic design language inspired by the ‘60s. The motorcycle uses a Tubular Steel Cradle frame and sits on a set of lightweight aluminum rims.

With Triumph giving the Thruxton a few updates for 2014.The two biggest changes are the updated megaphone mufflers (designed to release a heartier sound), a flyscreen, a seat cowl (making it a solo machine), plus a racing stripe, chrome chain guard, machined cooling fins, and black oil cooler lines. Nothing is revolutionary there, but what was a great looking bike, now appears and sounds even more purposeful.
Although the driving position is rather typical sport with handlebars bracelet and remote controls, it is fairly comfortable. The two chrome exhaust megaphones give her a serious engine.

The 2014 Triumph Thruxton is power by Air-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin, 360º firing interval engine air-cooled, 865cc, DOHC,the engine puts out 68 Bhp of power at 7400rpm and 51 Ft.Lbs of torque at 5800rpm. The engine’s fuel consumption is rated at 43 MPG in the city and is mated on a five speed transmission.

The chassis consists of a double cradle frame . The rear suspension uses two combined. The braking is correct. It is provided at the front, a single disc of 320 mm diameter pinched by a twin piston Nissin caliper, and at the rear by a single 255mm disc diameter also pinched by a Nissin caliper two pistons.

The 2014 Thruxton is available in Phantom Black and Brooklands Green with an MSRP of $9,099 USD and $10,299 CAD.
