Lykan Hypersport.
Lykan Hypersport.
The Lykan Hypersport is a supercar produced by W Motors a Lebanese based company founded in 2012. It is the first Lebanese supercar.W Motors plans to only produce seven units of the car.Headquartered in Dubai since early 2013 the company launched its first prototype model ‘The Lykan HyperSport’ last January at the International Qatar Motor Show. The Lykan model is officially limited to 7 units and priced at $3.4 million, making it one of the most expensive cars in the world.
The sides of the car look like a choppy mess of lines and shapes. The door is inward from the body panels by at least five inches. The fenders curve up around the wheels smoothly from the front, but from the back the flares back, they have a chopped, sharp bottom edge. This allows a massive vent just behind each wheel reducing air pressure in the wheel wells and increasing aero slipperiness.
The most important part of the Lykan Hypersport exterior design is that it is real not a rendering or computer generated. Hypercar vaporware is as popular as ever and digital exterior renderings often don’t materialize.
The Lykan HyperSport comes with a twin-turbo mid-rear engine, offering 770HP and 1000NM of torque claiming 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 395 km/h.It features a holographic display with interactive motion and tactile interaction. LED lights are encrusted with Diamonds and Sapphires, a 24h concierge service is available.
The car’s angular styling inspired by the Arabic symbol for seven, which is “V” and is of course considered a lucky number. This was also the thinking behind limiting the number of cars produced to seven. A special plate embedded in the roof above the rear window displays the number of the vehicle, along with the delivery date.
W Motors has announced the coming of a new model the Lykan SuperSport. This car will produce 1000+ HP and will be limited to 25 units. It will be less expensive and less exclusive than the Lykan Hypersport, but it will be a car that features more driving qualities.
