SUZUKI Hayabusa.
SUZUKI Hayabusa.
SUZUKI Hayabusa, With performance credentials that have established it as the hottest sportbike on the planet, the Suzuki Hayabusa is designed for the serious sport rider who will settle for nothing less than the best. Its combination of unsurpassed power, crisp handling and superb aerodynamics creates the ultimate sportbike.
From the width of the instrument display to the bubbly shape of the fuel tank and tail section; all of its proportions are more oversized than other sportbikes (with exception of the Ninja ZX-14R). This means it’s a more comfortable mount for taller riders, especially those who stand over six-feet. The controls are more spread out, too, and the brake and clutch levers were designed for persons who dribble basketballs in the NBA. Although the seat height is 0.2 inches higher than the Ninja (31.7 in.) it’s still 0.5 inches shorter than the BMW which makes this 573 pound bike easy to balance at a standstill (11 pounds lighter than the ZX but a whopping 122 pounds heavier than the BMW).
The Hayabusa’s engine is fed via Suzuki’s SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) fuel injection system with dual 12-hole, fine-spray injectors per cylinder and ram air intake with large volume airbox.A 1340cc in-line 4-cylinder fuel injected, DOHC liquid-cooled engine with 16-valves and Twin Swirl Combustion Chambers (TSCC) provides phenomenal power.
S-DMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector) allows the rider to choose from three different engine settings depending on riding conditions or rider preferences. The Hayabusa comes with a large volume 4-2-1-2 exhaust system with a large capacity catalyzer, dual triangular canisters and closed loop system.
Lightweight aluminum alloy pistons with a compression ratio of 12.5:1 are used for maximum performance in all connditions. Hard, smooth chrome-nitride Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating on the upper compression and oil control rings on each piston reduces friction while improving cylinder sealing.Lightweight titanium valves allow the use of light valve springs and high lift while maintaining accurate valve control. Iridium spark plugs are used for high combustion efficiency.
All valves are titanium, it receive more lift than the previous model, 12-hole injectors feed a fine mist of fuel, while an advanced ECU keeps a watchful eye on all the tiny explosions occurring inside. It can also quell the power (and/or its delivery) via three different power modes, selectable at the push of a button. To produce, power reliably, crankshaft and pistons are forged, while con rods are of the shot-peened chromoly flavor.
Overall, the 2012 Suzuki Hayabusa is considered to be one of the fastest bikes of its class and for that reason, this bike is not meant for the inexperienced rider. The tremendous amount of power of the 2012 Suzuki Hayabusa is reserved for those who know what they are doing and are seeking an exhilarating ride.
