Volkswagen Golf MK7.
The Volkswagen Golf Mk7 is the successor to the Volkswagen Golf Mk6. It was announced in Berlin on 4 September 2012 before a public launch at the 2012 Paris Auto Show. The Golf Mk7 uses the same MQB platform as the third-generation Audi A3 SEAT Leon and skoda Octavia.
The Volkswagen Golf Mk7 has decent Performance twith 0-62mph taking 8.9 seconds and plenty of urge (236lb ft of torque spread over a wide band between 1,750 and 3,000rpm) to overtake slower moving traffic in just about all situations.
With184 horsepower and an impressive 280 pound-feet of torque that’s delivered from just 1750 rpm the new Golf GTD combines the dual roles of highly efficient long-distance tourer and dynamic backroad performer. When equipped with the six-speed manual transmission the GTD has an EC combined fuel economy figure of 56 mpg some feat considering the car can also reach a top speed of 143 mph. This combined fuel consumption figure equates to CO2 emissions of just 109 g/km. With the optional six-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission the combined fuel consumption is 50 mpg.

In Brazil the Golf Mk7 went on sale in September 2013 only in the Highline and GTI variants all of them imported from Germany. Local assembly is already confirmed and is expected to start in 2015.
