2014 Aston Martin DB9 details

2014 Aston Martin DB9

Aston Martin have two world premieres at the Geneva Motor Show 2014, the V8 Vantage N430 and the Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White Editions.
The carbon white edition,is differentiate from the carbon black edition by its Stratus White paint job and accented caliper colour. Otherwise, it features the same unique carbon fibre elements as the Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Black, that car gets carbon fibre side strakes, black window surrounds and carbon fibredoor jambs among other parts.

Peak power of 517 PS. Effortless torque of up to 620 NM. A sprint time of just 4.6 seconds. Our new AM11 V12 engine ensures this is the most powerful DB9 ever produced. To us power isn’t everything; a CO2 reduction, saving 12g/km not only means this is the most potent DB9, it’s also the most advanced.

The DB9 has a six speed automatic transmission with quick-shifting for almost instant gear-changing. It is rear-wheel drive and goes from zero to sixty in just 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 183mph.

On the road, at first, the DB9 comes across as far more of a gran touring car than a sports car. There's nothing wrong with that. Its comportment is supremely composed in any of the three settings you chose for the adaptive damping, though the differences between normal, sport and track modes may be too subtle for many drivers unless you push it hard. Likewise the sport button, which increases steering response and exhaust sportiness, is also subtle.

Standard features include leather upholstery, a navigation system, a premium AM/FM/CD sound system with AUX and USB input jacks, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, Bluetooth connectivity, a trunk-mounted umbrella, xenon headlights and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Besides an available Bang & Olufsen surround-sound system, there's also a small galaxy of exterior and interior color schemes and interior trim options to choose from.

Inside, the standard features are extensive and include auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror with garage door opener, front and rear parking sensonrs, a leather sports steering wheel, heated exterior mirrors and electrically adjustable sports seats.

All Aston Martin DB9 models come standard with dual front, dual side and full-length side curtain airbags in addition to traction and stability control systems and electronic brakeforce distribution.

For 2014, Aston Martin has priced the DB9 from $185,400 and the DB9 Volante from $200,400, a $400 increase over last year.  Delivery and destination fees (not included) are $2,825.
