Infiniti G Sedan.

                                             Infiniti G Sedan.
The 2013 Infiniti G sedan is a four-door midsize luxury sedan that seats five. It is available in G37 Journey, G37 Sport and G37x trim levels. The G coupe and convertible models are addressed in separate reviews.

Both the base G37 Journey and all-wheel-drive G37x come standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic xenon headlights, foglights, keyless ignition/entry, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated eight-way power front seats, leather upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth phone connectivity,

For performance, Infiniti installed a 328 horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine, which is the same one you'll find in its brawny corporate cousin, the Nissan 370Z. Also borrowed are the transmissions,a 7-speed automatic is standard, but a 6-speed manual transmission is available in the Sport trim G37.
Depending on the powertrain configuration, fuel economy varies from 17 to 19 miles per gallon in the city and 25 to 27 mpg on the highway, with the lower numbers relating to the all-wheel-drive package. Even though these numbers are respectable, both BMW and Audi offer turbocharged engines that are capable of similar performance with increased miles per gallon.

Inside, the G37 is swathed in high-quality materials, which reviewers consider appropriate for the class. While some critics note that the sedan’s cabin could be more spacious, nearly all agree that the back seat in coupe and convertible models is best left to small children. All G37 models come with a strong list of standard features, which includes leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a backup camera and USB and Bluetooth connections, a 7-inch display monitor, a rearview camera and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, satellite radio and an iPod/USB audio interface. When compared with rival cars, many reviewers agree that the 2013 G37’s tech features are among the most user-friendly you’ll find.

Every Infiniti G is equipped with 6 standard air bags, including the G Convertible, which also features pop-up roll bars to help protect occupants in a rollover accident. Traction and stability control are also standard, along with 4-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist and a reversing camera. Rear parking-assist sensors are optional on all G37 models. A Technology package is also available, adding rain-sensing wipers, Pre-Crash Seat Belts, intelligent cruise control, and Preview Braking.
With its new entry-luxury positioning, the G37 squares off against newer but less powerful sedans like the Volvo S60, Acura TSX, BMW 320i and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class.
