2014 Audi allroad.

                                          2014 Audi allroad.

The 2014 Audi Allroad offers a unique and appealing mix of attributes, including a gorgeous cabin and above-average capability in the snow. It can't haul as much as the crossovers in this price range, but if you like the idea of an upscale wagon you can't do much better than the Allroad.

Handling is easy and agreeable, and the Allroad delivers the smooth ride quality that well-heeled city dwellers and suburbanites will expect. Standard all-wheel drive makes the car a suitable companion for those who slosh through rain and snow. In addition, with 7.1 inches of ground clearance and standard skid plates, it can take on deeper snow and maintained dirt roads when the need arises.

2014 Allroad comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, Bluetooth, Audi’s Multi-Media Infotainment system (MMI) and a 10-speaker audio system with iPod integration and satellite radio. Optional features include keyless entry with push-button start, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, voice controls, HD radio, a color trip computer screen, navigation and a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The 2014 Audi Allroad has a turbocharged  2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, making 220 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque. The engine is coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control and standard all-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy stands at 20 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined.

Standard safety features on the 2014 Audi Allroad include antilock brakes, traction and stability control, front seat side airbags and side curtain airbags. Rear seat side airbags are optional on all trim levels, while a blind-spot warning system is standard on the Prestige. A rearview camera and parking sensors are optional on Premium Plus models and come standard on Prestige models.

The suspension is independent, with a five-link design and a fixed calibration unique to the Allroad. The brakes are ventilated discs up front, with solid discs in the rear, both with single-piston sliding calipers over iron rotors. Standard are 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, wearing 245/45R18 all-season rubber (19-inch wheels are optional). The steering uses electric assist – no surprise here, since that's what all the other A4 models have for 2013.

The 2014 Audi Allroad is tough and classy at the same time offering luxury and off road capabilities in one convenient package. The 2014 Audi Allroad came in with a price tag of $47,745 with $2,600 being added as well as a navigation system price tag after an initial base price of $40,700.
